We left the studio and moved the equipment to a new performance space, ShapeShifter – located in Gowanus where KiNo Live will hold a weekly residency. The concept of the space lies in the vein of a 70s Soho artist loft.

The venue is founded by the bass player Matt Garrison, the son of legendary musician Jimmy Garrison who accompanied John Coltrane through one of the most extraordinary musical journeys of all time.

Joe McGinty — Special KiNo Live Set

Rehearsing with Joe McGinty (Psychedelic Furs) for Invasion from Within (Opening June 3rd, 6pm) is a pleasure all round. We are tackling 7 songs in this set celebrating Tonto‘s processing powers, enriched by the KiNo Live Rig plus Blenkinsopp‘s gray prototype filtering box FU2; on which we made my debut album Map of the Universe (soon to be mixed and mastered). Joe’s set will debut on the 10th of June. Throughout the month he will be at the gallery with us for many other features and fusions, including his adventures Circuit Parade and the Brooklyn Organ Synthesiser Orchestra.
