Today was my lucky day. After a late dinner with Josefina Ayerza, by some mystical force we decided to pass by Kathy Grayson‘s ‘Hole‘, the new gallery on Greene Street, for a peek. In front of their next door neighbour, the ponciest bagmaker Louis Vuitton, someone had dumped bundled blocks of countless Sotheby’s catalogues. I scuffled with a couple of these chunky bastards and there he was. One of the 3 men who brought me up intellectually and emotionally: André Breton staring at me from the cover of a beautiful thick catalogue dating back to 2002. A couple of hours later, literally on my doorstep, I picked up a Crate practise amplifier with a note reading ‘I work and rock hard’. Cheers New York.
